Maintain mobility, reduce falls, and improve quality of life

Why care home physiotherapy matters

National data shows that one in two residents will experience a fall each year, often leading to loss of independence, hospital admission, and increased care needs.

Cenovate’s approach delivers real, validated improvements across every aspect of care. Independent evaluations from our partnership with Turner Home in Liverpool demonstrate:

100

of staff agreed residents improved in mobility.

87

of residents reduced their risk of falls.

78

of residents experienced better mood & wellbeing.

How we help residents & staff

Resident assessments, individual care plans, group exercise and falls prevention classes

Our physiotherapists assess each resident to determine safe mobility levels, transfer methods, and personalised rehabilitation goals. Individual plans are reviewed regularly and adapted as needs change.

Fun, inclusive, and clinically designed sessions that improve strength, balance, and confidence. Each class supports up to ten residents, encouraging movement, social engagement, and independence.

Falls & frailty function screening and mobility equipment reviews

Evidence-based tests such as the Functional Reach and Timed Up & Go help us identify early signs of frailty and prevent decline through targeted intervention.

We assess the suitability of mobility aids, seating, and transfer equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency for both residents and staff.

Cenovate’s Impact Report for Turner Home

The Cenovate physiotherapy program at Turner Home was designed to enhance residents’ quality of life, maintain independence, and reduce the likelihood of falls and associated health risks.

Over a 12-month period, Cenvoate has delivered tailored, evidence- based physiotherapy services, combining individualised resident support with staff training and collaboration.

Two gauge charts with percentage values and accompanying text. The first gauge shows 100% with the text: "Turner Home staff strongly agree to agree that residents improved mobility." The second gauge shows 80% with the text: "Increase in patient reported gains to transfer independently." Additional text indicates improvements in residents' balance and mobility, with increases of 20-150% and 48%, respectively.

On-site physiotherapy clinics and occupational health physiotherapy for all

Regular in-house physiotherapy sessions provide continuity of care, fast response to new issues, and visible improvements in resident mobility.

Our on-site physiotherapists also treat care employees suffering from back, shoulder, or knee pain caused by manual handling or long shifts. This reduces sickness absence, improves morale, and supports a healthier workforce.
